Yes! You can build your set (6 big cookies per box or 3 big cookies per lunch bag) from any of the flavors currently in our menu. 

Two or three, changing every other day. Why do they change? Because we, unfortunately, suffer from Shiny Object Syndrome. 

Cookies are BIG! They might not look it from photos, but they're 6oz/170g each (with a few hitting almost 1/2 a pound!). Great for sharing—or not. But really, suggested serving is 1/4 to 1/2 a cookie, and spacing the rest out. 

The Minis are 3oz/85g each. Perfect for parties, events, and gatherings of all sizes. 

Our kitchen is 100% eggs and dairy free, and 100% plant-based. Our brown, white, and powdered sugars are 100% vegan.

We believe in making the world a better place, one cookie at a time. Because not only do our cookies bring out joy and happiness, they also help reduce CO2eq numbers when compared to a regular cookie. We know science can be a snooze so we bunched up the highlights for you. You can read more here. 

Um...five minutes? Jokes aside, cookies will be okay in an air-tight container for 7 days (this has been tested) at 72°F/22°C. Cookies left out in warmer/humid climates will spoil sooner. They are best consumed as soon as you receive them (as they have no preservatives), and we strongly suggest freezing the rest. 

Freezing them is the best way to ensure optimal freshness and to get that just-out-of-the-oven experience. For reheating/more storage instructions, click here.

Nope! Although we strive to get the outside crispy and the inside gooey and chewy, they are baked until they reach a safe inner temperature to ensure any bacteria in the flour is killed. That's the great thing about plant-based cookies; we don't have to worry about foodborne illnesses coming from eggs or dairy. Having said that, the center is not raw, just a tad under-baked, and totally safe to eat. 

Not yet! All our cookies contain wheat (unbleached flour), but we hope to roll out gluten-free options soon. 

All our cookies are nut/tree nut/soy free UNLESS clearly stated in our weekly menu. We do not use coconut oil or soy milk in any of our doughs. They are also:

• Fish / Shellfish free 

• Sugar Alcohol free 

• Preservatives free 

• Mustard free 

• Sesame free 

• Sulfite free

• High-Fructose Corn Syrup free

Unfortunately, we can't. Although we strive to do so by cleaning our equipment between batches to prevent any cross-contamination, our ingredients are processed in a facility that handles soy, gluten, and nuts. The same applies to some of our outsourced ingredients (like chocolate); although they are nut free, they are also processed in a facility that handles nuts. This is not a problem for most, but it might not be ideal for those with more sensitive allergies. Your health comes first <3

Every cookie is different with some having more/less sugar than others, but this is an average across-the-board. Let's put it this way: if our recipe calls for 100g of sugar, we use around half of that. An average 6 oz cookie could have anywhere between 70-80g of sugar. Our cookies range from 31-39g, giving you around 9g of sugar per serving (there are 4 servings/cookies).

Does that mean the  cookies are LESS sweet?

Not at all! Our cookies are incredibly decadent. That's because they are partially sweetened with Allulose, a natural sugar substitute. 

Why less sugar though?

Because just like you, we love the sweetness but loathe the crash. These cookies are just as sweet and gooey as those with regular sugar, just with less of a crash—unless you eat the whole box, which we understand, at times, cannot be helped. 

Why not take out ALL the sugar?

Trust me, we've tried, but it didn’t work. We didn’t want to compromise flavor or texture. There are lots of “healthy” cookies out there and that's not what we wanted to make. Baking is a science—we learned this the hard way—and sugar does a lot more than provide sweetness. It’s a crucial part of the cookie’s texture and structure. Without it, it’s not a cookie.

You might've heard palm oil is bad for the environment. As with many things, not all palm kernel oils are made the same. Although we only use a small fraction in our cookies (with less than 6g of saturated fats from PO per cookie), we always make sure our PO:

• ...has a smaller CO2e footprint [ 1.6—2 kg CO2e/kg ] than the alternatives: Coconut Oil [ 6.2 kg ] & Cow Butter [ 15 kg ]*

• ...has no hydrogenated fats.

• ...has zero trans fats.

• ...is Fair Trade Certified.

Starting January 2024, our shop will be accepting orders from 9am Monday through 9pm Tuesday—or until sold out. Limited number of cookies are available every week. Cookies are then baked fresh the following Saturday and prepped for pick-up from our Secret Playground (location revealed after checkout, but here's a secret: it's in the 90036 area, but shh...).

Individually wrapped cookies only available for shipping and for catering orders when requested. We limit packaging to absolute essentials in order to reduce waste. For that same reason, shopping paper bags are not provided. 

If you need the cookies individually wrapped with a "flavor sticker" this is automatically considered a "Catering Order". We are able to package the cookies individually or in packs of 2. You must order 14 days ahead of time for packaged cookies as we need more time to prepare the flavor labels for your order. Any pick-up order with individually wrapped cookies is considered a "Catering Order".

After that, all change requests will be pending consideration and a small fee will apply.

From our Secret Playground! After placing your order, you'll choose a desired pick-up time from the available slots. Exact location is revealed right after checkout (but here's a secret: it's in the 90036 area, but shh...).. 

Pick-up window is one hour, with pick-up appointments scheduled every 15mins. To ensure we have enough baking and prep time for all our cookies, cookies cannot be picked up once the one hour window is over. Not showing up to the agreed-upon pick-up time forfeits your order. But do not fret—we'll donate to a family in need. 

If you need to reschedule your order, please email us at hello@lunchboxcookies.com with your order number no later than 2 days BEFORE your scheduled pick-up day so we can help. 

Yes...and no? Not officially, at least. All orders are pick-up only. However, if you'd like to have your order delivered, please schedule a service like Uber/Lyft to come pick them up during your pick-up appointment (or earlier, as long as it's during the pick-up window of 12pm-1pm). 

Make sure to include it in your notes when placing your order, and then text us an update with your driver's info (along with your order number) to (213) 545-6357 so we know who to look for. Otherwise we might hand your cookies to a complete stranger—a happy stranger nonetheless. 

But please keep in mind, if your driver does not show during the one hour pick-up window,  it will forfeit your order—we'll donate the cookies to a family in need. Please visit our "Terms of Service" for further reading.

Yes! Show your clients and/coworkers some appreciation with a box of your favorite cookies. We believe our cookies are perfect for every occasion that brings people together. Whether it be happy times, sad times, and even "just because" times.

Most people choose to send 1-2 dozen assorted cookies to each client/office, but we can create a customized box of cookies for you with any assortment of treats we currently offer. We can even include a custom note with your order :]

For large orders (24+) of non-individually-wrapped cookies, please put order in at least 120 hours (5 days) in advance to ensure we have all the ingredients required to handle your special order. Large orders can choose from some* previous/future flavors beyond those available that week.
